Not right time to change government: Leader Koirala

Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has said any effort to change the government is just to invite troubles in the country.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport Tuesday, she said the incumbent government should be allowed to complete its given tenure.

“The Congress shall stay in the opposition as a stronger opposition is needed in the parliamentary system and the Congress is in the opposition of playing such role,” leader Koirala said.

The attention of political parties should be focused on achieving economic progress instead of power game, Koirala said, adding that country’s development was not possible as no government was allowed to work the complete tenure.

However, the former Minister vented her ire at the government for its ‘failure’ to control black market, corruption, artificial price rise and accelerate the post-earthquake-reconstruction efforts.
